Recovery project for the "Cavaliere" factory building in the Exiles fort
The Project concerns the recovery of the rooms that overlook the courtyard of the "Cortile del Cavaliere" as a museum and the insertion of an elevator inside the rock that allows, without architectural barriers, to reach the Fort from the square where cars can arrive. The powerful architecture of this fortress has suggested an attitude of "preservation of the degradation" of the structure respecting the atmosphere and the seduction that the building preserves: the premises, under management of the Mountain Museum, will be destined to host the Museum of the Fort, the ski museum and rooms for temporary exhibitions. Furthermore, a panoramic route has been studied on the grassy roofs of the western head that will allow to contemplate all the unfolding of the various fortifications. Michela Lageard took care of the definitive and executive design of the West Head and made the operative director of the restoration works.
